Log a set below and watch the board move.

That set is worth 5,400 points.

    How a month goes

A workout competition with your friends that runs itself. No spreadsheet, no group chat arguments about who did more.

    1. Start a crew

Name it and send the invite link. Anyone with the link can join.

    2. Buy in by the 7th

The crew votes on the amount, from $1 a person. Pay with PayPal.

    3. Log every workout

Each entry adds points and tells the rest of the crew you are beating them.

    4. Top scorer gets paid

On the last day the leader takes the prize. On the 1st everyone is back to zero.

    One pound is one point

Weight times sets times reps. Heavier, longer or more often all move you up. Everything that is not a lift has a set value.

    Where the money goes

Six friends put in $5 each. That is $30 on the line for the month.

    • Buy-ins start at $1 a person, and the crew votes on next month's amount.
    • Only people who bought in can win. Everyone else plays for the board.
    • If fewer than two people buy in, the buy-in is refunded.
    • A tie for first splits the prize evenly.

    Nobody trains quietly

The second one of your buddies walks into the gym or logs a set, the rest of the crew gets told. Loudly. On random days OutGrind also tells you exactly where you stand, whether you asked or not.

This is savage mode, and it is on by default. Any crew can switch to clean mode. Alerts go out by email today, and text messages are next.

    • Marcus is beating youMarcus just walked into the gym. He is beating you, making more money than you, buying your Lambo and taking your girl. Lift something.
    • You are #3 in Saturday liftersYour last workout was 4 days ago. Don't be a pussy. Dev already trained today.
    • Sam is coming for youSam just logged 20,000 points. You are still 1,400 ahead. For now. Nobody is coming to save your lazy ass.
    • Dev won October412,300 points. Dev takes $24. Light weight, baby. Everyone is back to zero.

Gym first. Then whatever your crew wants to win at.

Money made, dates gone on, books read, miles driven for work. Start with the gym competition and tell us in the app which category to add next.

    Questions before you start

    How do points work?

One pound lifted is one point, so weight times sets times reps is your score for a lift. Benching 225 pounds for 3 sets of 8 is 5,400 points. Runs, push-ups, pull-ups, sports, sauna and other activities have set values, like 7,500 points for a 2 mile run.

    What does OutGrind cost?

Creating an account and a crew is free. Each month the crew sets a buy-in from $1 per person. The top scorer who bought in takes 80% of everything paid in, and OutGrind keeps 20%.

Can I play without putting money in?

Yes. The board, points, daily grades and alerts work for everyone in the crew. Only people who bought in that month can win the prize.

    Who checks the numbers?

Your crew does. Every entry shows on the crew feed with who logged it, what they did and when, so padded numbers get noticed by the people who see you every week.

What happens if only one person buys in?

There is no contest with one player, so that buy-in is refunded after the month closes.

    When does the board reset?

At midnight Pacific time on the 1st of every month. The winner is announced, points go back to zero and the crew starts again.

    Who can join?

Anyone 18 or older can create an account and invite friends with a link. Paid crews are only for people in places where paid skill contests are allowed.

Someone in your group chat is about to get paid.
